Exceptional Australian Home up For Sale

Toowoomba’s Doorstep is known to be as one of the most exceptional houses in Australia and it’s now available for sale, according to The Chronicle.
Guy Humphries, an Australian Builder and Engineer, is the one who conceptualized the design of this six-bedrom, six-bathroom family home. The construction of eclectic complex which features tidbits from overseas escapades of Mr. Humphries and his wife Kathy took 10 years to finish it.
Some of the exciting items in the home are a chimney from Paris, solid-iron supports cast from the same material found on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and a copper staircase obtained from a Brisbane Jail.
Another wacky feature of this house is the “hidden door” on the mezzanine level which is a tricky way to reveal a secret office space. This feature is said to be in favor with the previous tenants.
According to Matt Hammond, PRD Nationwide, “There is a story behind everything in this place,”. He also said that there are only four items in the house were not covered in the sale with price over $999,000 considered.
